But when we think of food, we naturally think of eating first. And as already mentioned, a healthy diet is helpful for body and mind. But sometimes emotions play tricks on us. Chocolate, for example, is one of the most popular comfort foods in the world. From a scientific point of view, chocolate contains the amino acid tryptophan, which is converted by the body into the happiness hormone serotonin. So is it really so wrong to reach for a piece of chocolate when your soul is crying out for it? In the long run, in most cases it is. But in every healthy diet plan there should also be a little room for special moments.
